1st Boot Camp

So its Sunday 8am and minus 2 degrees outside, so we did a fitness boot camp this morning.
The class stated with a complete shock to the system!  A 100meter kettle bell sprint as a warm up in order to get down to the riverside quickly from the club. Feel slightly sorry for Steph and David who were burdened with 20 and 16 kg kettle bells.
The class then went on with Jagoda leading the warm up, dynamic stretching and a 15 minute kettle bell class. I then took over and we did some partner/trust based exercises and then we ran lines military style. Squats followed by a sprint, lunges followed by a sprint, jump squats followed by a really long run..... you get the idea basically no rest.
Nick one of the new fitness instructors also came along and helped us with the cool down which was after we had done another really long run around the park and back. Ian who is training with Jagoda and looks to be doing well in the challenge was really impressing me, the man did not stop once he just kept going!

So far team Roz has lost 15kg in total and it is only week four of training, David is leading the way with a fat loss of 6.5 kg second is Fiona and Carsten with 3kg lost and team Sness (Steph and Vanessa) having lost 2.5 kg between them. Ray is currently ill and giving everyone a head start for when he returns to training next week.

Going forthe finish line! Fiona has really improved with here running, I reasured here on day one she would not have to run that much ... Lie

Team Roz Update !

Woow time is going quick, we are three weeks in and only seven more to go. Everyone is doing super well in Team Roz and this week we really have been pushing the training to a higher level. This week has seen us take on a new cross fit exercise ‘The Grizzly Bear’ five sets of eight was easy.... Not! Next week we are doing Grizzly bears super giant sets with Squat and Bench Press.

I will be posting an update on how much weight loss has happened in Team Roz end of this week. Word on the street is two or theree kg fat loss per person so far.
Next Sunday 19th I really hope it snows as we are doing our first boot camp (8.30 am) outside.
Special mention to Fiona who is doing extremely well and my odds on favourite for a podium finish, another person to watch is David, his opinion so far ‘It has been harder than I thought and better’ He has never felt more motivated to train hard. Personally I cannot wait to see the results at the end of the challenge.

Things have been very busy at the gym the last few weeks, the virgin take over has really made the club a nicer place with lots of new classes, better staff uniform and a great new service manager Martin to look after us all.

Ollie Freeman stopped by for a Kick Boxing class Ollie is a football coach in America and an old friend from University. The Kick boxing class with Den at our Club is really a great class and works really well for weight loss.

Team Joe

So, we are a week into the competition and its heating up already!

There has already been some weight loss shifted from the scales and all my team have been working really hard, a special mention to Nicola who has been fighting an injury and she trained for over 3 hours on Monday!!!!

Janet also put in a great effort during our session on Tuesday despite her busy schedule!!, and I can’t wait to see what she brings on Thursday.

Jill has also been working very hard and I am always impressed with the motivation and dedication that she brings to our sessions and I am very confident that she will do very well.

Shirley has been working hard this week as she always does, and I believe if she continues the way she is going she will see the results she wants!

I am very proud of the progress of all the team, Keep it up guys!!!!!
